Sobre a Revista

The Periodontia Journal has been the official journal of the Brazilian Society of Periodontology and Implantology (SOBRAPI) and has been in circulation since 1992, a time when it was intended only to provide a solid base for the professional performance of the associate, gradually also began to disseminate and stimulate the generation of new knowledge.

For years, it was distributed in print to associates, scientific and university libraries throughout the country. Later, following a global trend, it began to be disseminated virtually.

It has recently undergone a general overhaul, transforming into the Brazilian Journal of Periodontology (ISSN 0103-9393), in partnership with Dental Press and with chief editor Prof. Dr. Sheila Cavalca Cortelli.
